Summer Reading

I've gone a little crazy with reading this summer. It's been wonderful. I love reading to my kids, but hadn't read, for fun, just to myself in years. I figured as everyone seems to be wrapping up their summers today and this weekend, I would recap my summer reading. I enjoyed everyone one of these. Mainly for my own reference later! All of this started on June 30th, and when through today. (Series grouped together)

The Selection
The Elite
The One
by Kiera Cass

Divergent
Insurgent
Allegiant
by Veronica Roth

Under the Never Sky
Through the Ever Night
Into the Still Blue
by Veronica Rossi

The Maze Runner
The Scorch Trials
The Death Cure
The Kill Order
by James Dashner

Across the Universe
A Million Suns
Shades of Earth
by Beth Revis

Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption
by Laura Hillenbrand

The Book Thief
by Markus Zusak

18 books! I wonder how many it might have been had I started in early June. I must thank my big sis, Holly, for getting me started. She was reading The Selection and told me about it and how it was a very quick read, which really was what did the trick for me! And Marisa for recommending nearly all the rest! Also, my awesome nephew Brayden for recommending the Across the Universe series which very quickly became an insta fav that I am sure I'll be reading again one day. Next on my list is The Giver by Lois Lowry. However, I'm still on the wait list for it, so I will be reading The Space Trilogy by C. S. Lewis first. Hopefully it will be my turn with The Giver by the time I'm finished, or I'll have to find something else!

  1. Love that you kept track of all your reads!! That's a great list. I was speeding through books for a little while and then started a HUGE book and that slowed me down. Love me some summer reading. I hope it doesn't slow down with school starting. Have you read A Wrinkle in Time? It's been YEARS since I picked up the series, but I loved it.
