Broken phone(s)

Ugh. My oldest's phone has quit. Touch screen is just not working. Been over 24 hours since it started and we've tried everything but a total restore to factory settings, and a trip to Apple. We will probably make the trip Wednesday morning. But for now, I'm trying to get her set up with her old phone. Only, she was locked out of it because she changed the password and didn't know what she changed it to. Been at least a year... So I grab the phone and it actually says it's locked for 23+ million more minutes. Really phone?! It's restoring to factory settings now though. I really hope Apple will take care of us and this will he for nothing though.
