Tricky Tuesday

So today was busy. Yet it seemed more laid back, oddly enough. The girls won both games tonight and were batting back to back which allowed for this pic I snapped as they were waiting for the other team to take the field.

Also- Lexi pitched! I believe that was her first in game, live pitching in over a year! She struck out 1, walked 1, and the the next girl hit her 1st pitch and they made the out. There was already 1 out when they stuck her in to pitch. She didn't even warm up. It was fun! She doesn't really want to pitch anymore, but she loves her coach and when he asked, she stepped up and did her best. I'm very proud of her for that. And it sure was fun to watch!

Terrible Tuesday

Back to back craziness... Ready to end this day. Fun, but worn out!

Wake up

Spend some great time with my big sis!

2:30- 4 Chalk fields

4:30- 4:45 Shower

5- 5:25 Drive to Coppell, drop off girls

5:30- 6 Drive home, sunblock TJ and put his cleats on.

6:15- 7:30 TJ's baseball practice

7:30- 7:50 Drive to Coppell

7:50- 9:15 Get to watch girls' 2nd game

9:15- 9:30 Drive home

Now all are in bed and I am eating dinner and am so beyond ready to crash!

Softball/Baseball Saturday

Oh Tuesday

Day 2 of school this year- Kindle decided to go crazy and as I'm determined to work out the kinks as we go this week, I spend over an hour fixing it. Still got through everything, and I got a message late this afternoon they Lexi's account on our planner had been fixed and all her assignments were recovered and back on there for us. Woohoo.

Also- little man had his 1st practice of the season. All new team this Fall for him, as his old team decided to take the season off. I'm very proud of him! He did really good tonight, listened and paid attention better than I could have imagined at this point, and- he even stepped up and talked to/helped out a teammate that was really shy. 

Tuesdays are going to be a nightmare very soon, though... He'll have practice, my girls will have double headers. In 2 different cities. And my husband won't be able to drive for at least 3 weeks. But I know it will be fine. Crazy, but fine!

End of summer ball

Summer league finished tonight! Hooray for the next 1 or maybe even 2 Tuesdays not being so busy. The teams daughter picked up with for the league came in 2nd. 

Fusion

Tomorrow we have our first tryout for the Texas Fusion softball team my husband will be coaching. I'm excited. And nervous. Just ready to have the team set so they can start practicing!

Can't sleep!!!

Lexi is picking up with a team tomorrow for a long 1 day tourney. Their first game starts at 7:30, warm up starts at 6:30. And it's about 40 mins away. The kids were sent to bed at 8:30, but as of about 20 mins ago they were all still awake. I couldn't even try to sleep yet. I made coffee so it would be ready for me (iced coffee), I made overnight oatmeal, I packed baggies of meat and cheese, bread, crackers, ect so we could just grab them when it's time to leave. Then I made some healthy muffins for the kids to have for breakfast, and extras for us all to have for a dnack. I'm finally ready to try and sleep, but it's not coming easy...

New Class Pet

As if we didn't have plenty already! During the last game of Saturday's portion of the tourney, this adorable baby bunny ran onto the field. My two youngest (not playing in the tourney) tried to catch it. Then begged their dad for it/a bunny. My husband told them at dinner that if they could catch it, they could keep it! He then looked at me and muttered, that should be a pretty safe deal, right?

Well, as shocked as I still am, the little bunny was back on Sunday, and they actually caught it! 

Lesson learned.

We bought a cage and all the essentials and honestly- we, husband included, really just adore the thing already. It's so cute!

Can you tell I took this as soon as she scooped it up?!? That excitement and just pure joy on her face! :)

Hours at the pool, dinner, surprise pack making, and tomorrow- a long day in the dirt! 

Productive Day

What happens when I'm sick and spend 3+ days just laid back on the couch? Today. Today happens. Still sick, but better enough. Losing the migraine pretty much made the difference I needed. Vacuumed the whole house, kitchen swept, laundry completely caught up, 2 batches of muffins made, spaghetti made, and I crafted for several hours. 

Tomorrow, we wake, pack, I shower and we head to Waco for a softball tourney this weekend! Bring it on!

Vacation!

Because, who doesn't set such alarms on their mini-vacation?

And for tonight's entertainment...

When it comes to my kids...

playing softball/baseball, I have very few complaints. This, however, is always a complaint. 

Although, I already have many fond memories of silly mornings getting us all ready. If I could just be wide awake and energized as soon as I need to be, that'd be great!

So disappointed

That would be my daughter's brand new bat. 1 day shy of a week is how long it lasted. :( Good thing it's got a great warranty! Now to see how the customer service is, how fast they replace it, and if the next one lasts....

Softball/Baseball Saturday

Only 1 game today! Lil man had his 2nd to last game of the season. He is doing so good this season and is loving every second of it!

The bats are in!

And my girls are HAPPY! Well, except for the part where they have to wait until tomorrow to use them.

Bat happy

Today, while hitting to our girls, my husband managed to break our daughter's newest, and most prized composite bat.... Newest, but past warranty. And those bats aren't cheap. So, he's now restricted to hitting balls with their non-composites only from now on.

And, after much discussion lately, and the break today- I know 2 girls that are going to be very surprised, and extremely happy to each open brand new composites in a couple of days! 

Softball Saturday

My girls got to play together today! My oldest daughter's team is short on players this weekend, and my middle child's team ended up not playing this weekend, so it all worked out. They asked her to suit up and be ready to play with them again tomorrow. I tried to get a pic when one of them was on 2nd, other on 1st...

It's too small on my phone to really see.. They both scored just a couple pitches later so I didn't get a chance to try and get a better pic. Maybe it'll show up better on the computer. Maybe. 

Lil man had a fantastic game again today too! He had 3 great hits, caught the whole game, and made an out at home! He got the game ball- and they haven't even been giving them out this season! Go T-Buddy!
