Car update

Our car has been overdue for a name update. But we had up give it long enough to see what stuck. Tonight, I updated it, and gave her a baseball! She's not just a softball girl anymore, she's our ball-mobile, and it is time for her to show it. :)

I have a slight obsession with Bath & Body Works candles. I keep the jars knowing I will upcycle them in some way, some day. I finally used one! With a little help from some Goo Gone and my awesome Cameo, this was made and added to a birthday present. :)

Christmas presents for my niece! I wish I had used just vinyl, but I wanted to mix vinyl and freezer paper stenciling. The freezer paper didn't stop some paint from traveling, so it's not near as neat and sleek as I wanted. But it is still cute, and she loves them! (And in case you are wondering- yes, she's a drummer!)

I did not personally design these two- but  they are so great. I cut them for door prize donations for a lady's retreat. This is before I separated them.

My oldest daughter's team asked me to make helmet stickers and glove/bat holder stickers for the organization (3 teams). They paid for the vinyl, but that's it. I really enjoy it, and hey, that's a benefit I'll offer for my kids' organizations!

I've managed to forget, yet again, to get a pic of the numbers I did for the back of the helmets. 

For the front, I did the DeMarini logo in a red glittered vinyl. 

For the racks, I did the logo in red, then each girl's name and number in a silver glittered vinyl.

I also made bag tags for both my daughters and the oldest one's team. I'm still trying to secure a few more plastic softballs to make them for the middle one's team. I was trying to come up with something cheap and super fast for them, and found these softballs 2 for 99 cents mixed in with all the mum supplies at Michaels. Added names on the front, numbers on the back, and some black cording, and they were done! Super cheap, super fast, easy to see on the bags, and still cute. :)

So my oldest daughter's team has asked me to out my cameo to use and make numbers for all the girls helmets in the organization- 3 teams. And the logo for the fronts. I did my daughter's teams numbers tonight, since I knew theirs. And I did a sample logo, to see what the coaches thought. Only, I forgot to get a picture of it on the helmet! (And am too tired to go get it now!) All 3 teams have to agree, but her team really likes it! 

I didn't design it, they are a sponsored team, so this is that logo. I like the way it turned out with the glittered vinyl. I knew they wanted red, but the red I have on hand is more maroon. Then I saw the glittered vinyl and decided to try it.

Five Things Friday

1. We finally broke down and invested in face masks for our daughters. Naturally, I busted out my Cameo and put their names and numbers on them!

2. I also got the girls some good headbands to keep their hair back.  They came in today so the girls will officially try them out at practice in the morning, but I know they were very highly recommended! Thank you Glitz Bandz!

3. Also in today.. Washi tape. My bestie, Cerise, over at Craft Cherry has got me hooked to this stuff. And was nice enough to let me know about a really cheap grab bag deal going on a couple weeks ago. Got mine in the mail today! I really can't wait to put them to use in my PL album. I'm also going to let my girls use them on some cards they want to make. 

4. Fun in the sun! Last weekday for my kiddos before we start school! (water balloons EVERYWHERE!)

5. And what would a school kick off party be without some amazingly delicious ice cream cake?!

And just because he was being so adorably cute. Here's our little Joey waiting patiently for the kids to come back inside!

Project Life- 1st 1/2 of February 2013

I've been working on February for a few weeks now. I've had pages to show but life has been getting in the way of me actually getting the pics on here. I did a couple more pages today, so here goes!

I've really been branching out and getting to know my cameo better. I'm ready to start putting together a list of products with prices to sale. Just still in mental planning mode a little too much. I'm pulling out of it into DO mode though.

Shirts I made my girls. (Okay, I'm really proud of the girls's shirts- because I did do a lot of designing on my own for them, and forced myself to learn new things to get them how I wanted. The print will need to be smaller in the future though- goes too far across.)

Shirt for my boy. I'm really proud of this one. I saw the idea online and decided to try and make my own version. It took several tries (like 10)- but in the end, I love it, and so does he!

Scrappy Saturday

So today, I worked on some shirts. I'm really enjoying playing around with my cameo more and am surprised already by some of the things it can do. It's really a shame I've not tapped into its full potential yet and have had it well over a year! 

I spent a lot of time on the shirts, so now I'm exhausted and haven't started my PL yet. I really want to get February complete before the end of next weekend. Hopefully I can find some time tomorrow to work on a page, or 4!

2. I have worked to get out of my comfort zone with my cameo. Now, I've got some new tricks to play with!

Make it Monday

Today, I made 5 car decals. 1 for my big sis, and 4 for an order. I will get a picture of them in action once they are installed! I also made a little installation instruction sheet to send with them.

I'm really hoping to turn this into a side business and am working on getting everything together, getting my facebook page updated, and once all is ready- running a promotion that will give someone a freebie, and me more potential customers!

I had a request from someone wanting to see some of the other decals I've done, and since I need to gather all my images (not like there are many...) here goes!

Yesterday we went to my parents for lunch and to celebrate my dad's 60th birthday! I had this project planned for quite a while, and finally was able to finish it and give it to him. My cameo comes through for me, yet again!

And sorry in advance for the bad picture... I was in a hurry and snapped without really checking. Nice bright spot right in the middle. Ugh.
