Five Things Friday

1. We finally broke down and invested in face masks for our daughters. Naturally, I busted out my Cameo and put their names and numbers on them!

2. I also got the girls some good headbands to keep their hair back.  They came in today so the girls will officially try them out at practice in the morning, but I know they were very highly recommended! Thank you Glitz Bandz!

3. Also in today.. Washi tape. My bestie, Cerise, over at Craft Cherry has got me hooked to this stuff. And was nice enough to let me know about a really cheap grab bag deal going on a couple weeks ago. Got mine in the mail today! I really can't wait to put them to use in my PL album. I'm also going to let my girls use them on some cards they want to make. 

4. Fun in the sun! Last weekday for my kiddos before we start school! (water balloons EVERYWHERE!)

5. And what would a school kick off party be without some amazingly delicious ice cream cake?!

And just because he was being so adorably cute. Here's our little Joey waiting patiently for the kids to come back inside!

Project Life- 1st 1/2 of February 2013

I've been working on February for a few weeks now. I've had pages to show but life has been getting in the way of me actually getting the pics on here. I did a couple more pages today, so here goes!

used my cameo to make the month and week cards

definitely plan to use more FB posts- really like how it turned out.

Cute Valentine's cards for my kids from my parents and my lil sis!

Used a full page insert and cut the cards and then placed back vertically instead of horizontal.

I promise he's still breathing. He fell asleep like that a couple times...

Project Life 2013- Week 1

I've had a wonderful week. I've hardly had a chance to sit still but I've been wanting to sit down and complete a week on my PL book. I'm determined to at least do 1 week per week. Clearly, I need to do way more than 1 each week, as it's halfway through July and I've just begun...

Well, I finally forced myself to sit down and complete week 1. It was rushed. And most of the first half of 2013 will be done via Instagram pics so I'm trying to find creative ways to display them. I'm sure it could be better, but I'm happy. It's about the memories, right? For me, I want my family to sit down and look through the year come New Years Eve/New Years Day each year. So this page may not be as "cute" as I'd prefer, but I do like it. And I also know that as I make each week, I'll gain more experience and knowledge. I'll bust them out faster. And cuter!

Teaching Thursday

The kids have been playing around with one of our cameras lately. It's sparked an idea. There are many monthly photo challenges out there... I'm going to have each of the kids do one. But I'm going to have to mix it up so they don't all want to do the same things.. Maybe one a week instead of every day... I'm still thinking on it. Essentially, I'm handing over the camera and I'm going to give them something random each day to capture. I think it will be really neat to see the different things they come up with. And will help them get better with a camera as well! Here's one Demi snapped this evening!
